Well, I'm flyin' 'cross the land, tryin' to get a hand Playin' in a travelin' band etc.-------------- Notes: A friend of mine tells me the line that John Fogerty sort of tosses in there toward the end is: Won't you give myself a hand? It's not grammatical, but then neither are a lot of other great rock 'n' roll songs. But to be honest, I can't tell what Fogerty is singing there, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of my friend's interpretation of that line. I will say, however, that on Fogerty's new live CD, "Premonition," it does sound as though as he's singing, "Won't you give myself a hand." But considering the earlier line, "Well, I'm flyin' 'cross the land, tryin' to get a hand," it makes sense. From: SibExCom@aol.com
